YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF
That is what you'll hear from an elderly Yoruba person while reprimanding someone who is feuding with a younger fellow or someone not of their league. The beauty of proverb is that you don't have to hit the nail on the head directly but rather address the issue wisely or should I say codedly.
For example, let's say two kids are dragging a toy which neither is ready to let go of, the mum on this occasion will face the older one and say
"ADIYE FUNFUN KO MORARA L'AGBA". Literally, an old roaster doesn't know it's worth. Which means it's not expected of an elder to be fighting over such item with a younger fellow.
In short, you don't know your worth.
